Simple pleasures of life !

One of the things I like to do is to lie on the carpet at my home at bangalore, with a remote in one hand and some snacks on the other and watch some interesting sports action. I believe its one of those simple things that makes me happy. Lots of times I wonder why I left that and came over to the US. I will never get the same feeling of lying on the carpet here !

I am sure each one of us would have such similar things which makes them happy, which I refer to as 'Simple pleasures of life'. I have done the 'Art of Living' course and one of the first things that struck me was the message by my teacher: "Children are the people who are the happiest in life. Why? Because they have such simple pleasures in life and they don't care about what other people think".

Enjoy the simple pleasures of life, keep life simple !!

"At the end of the game the king and the pawn are placed in the same box"

Recently I saw a Hindi movie. According to me the statement - "At the end of the game, the king and the pawn are placed in the same box" was the drive home point of the movie

Well it can be interpreted in many ways and but this is how I saw it. You might have achieved lots in ur life and you might have made millions or you might have died a poor beggar or you have died in your teens in an accident or you might have lived off your parents your whole life or .......

But at the end, you are placed in the same box !! So what does this mean? Does this give you an insight into how you must lead your life ? Or what you want to achieve in life ?

Well my take is that whatever you achieve in life, be humble and keep your foot on the ground ... since at the end of the game all are put in the same box !!

My first post

This has been coming for a long time ! Somehow I have overcome the laziness to post my first blog !! This blog is not going to be some kind of diary for my day to day routine .. Its more of a reflection of what goes on upstairs (hence the name)

Keep comenting !
