"At the end of the game the king and the pawn are placed in the same box"

Recently I saw a Hindi movie. According to me the statement - "At the end of the game, the king and the pawn are placed in the same box" was the drive home point of the movie

Well it can be interpreted in many ways and but this is how I saw it. You might have achieved lots in ur life and you might have made millions or you might have died a poor beggar or you have died in your teens in an accident or you might have lived off your parents your whole life or .......

But at the end, you are placed in the same box !! So what does this mean? Does this give you an insight into how you must lead your life ? Or what you want to achieve in life ?

Well my take is that whatever you achieve in life, be humble and keep your foot on the ground ... since at the end of the game all are put in the same box !!

WoW!! Very rarely can one rake such gems out of Hindi movies :-) I am with you on your thought - its important to be good and humble in life. Arrogance or show-off, or both at once, are immediate turn-offs for anyone humble.

Good thought, Jai! :-)

Well after 2 months of thought about the maxim, it is interesting to read your view on it. However I guess the intent of the movie was pretty straightforward - making millions/material aspirations is not going to make one happy and satisfied. Was it a Hindi movie or an Indian English one? Looking forward to more insights Jai.. ;)
